Definitely not a series for the fainthearted I like that the kids aren t suddenly emotionally healed and everything hunky dorey It would be nice if this was of the fantasy genre but unfortunately these monsters live amongst us.
5 stars Do you know what it is like to find a series that you fall deeper in love with thebooks you read That is the way this series makes me feel It deals with horrible things happening to innocent children The thing is that the abuse is mentioned, but you don t read graphic details of it being performed If that had happened, I wouldn t have read the series You do get graphic details of what happens to the people who hurt the children when STK goes after them though I am a firm believer that what they are doing is making a difference.
This book is a little different in that it deals with a doctor and what he sees at the hospital all the time You never really stop to think about the effect that would have on a person I think it would be horri AlotOn my ghee stories are hear wrenching The extent of abuse that is taking place and the level of abuse some children withstand is always difficult to hear With that said the author once again did a great job with the storyline and the kids and the effect on the kids The story was good and the support system for the kids as well.
I read Heal the day it came out and I also wanted to review it on that day but sadly I couldn t find time to do so because of one of my finals in college I originally wanted to wait with reading itafter my finals but I couldn t possible wait for that I have no patience whatsoever.
So here is finally my review.
I really, really liked the previous two books Pain and Secret highly recommend and wasn t quite sure if Heal would work for me because in Pain and Secret the MCs were both part of the active part of the team while Beau ison the passive part of the team Color me surprised but I liked it Not as much as Pain or Secret but that s not because Beau s on the passive part but for a different reason I ll get to that in a second.
I ll name the positive things first really quick because I always seem to forget to mention the good aspe 4.
5 starsThis book focused on STK s team doctor Beau, and Parson, a case worker at CPS Seeing things through Beau s eyes at the hospital instead of his teammates out in the field and having the child victims all coming from foster homes this time made the book seem less repetitive than the previous book, but still very emotional because of the painful abuse the children suffered There are no words.
Even though Beau and Parson made a really great couple, I still kept thinking whoa Nelly Beau sure moved fast on things I understood him wanting to foster Lisa and Jeff so they d have a safe home not sure starting adoption proceedings immediately after meeting the kids 2 days before is normal , but Beau had one date with Parson and pretty much told him he could se Amazing Always Dreamed Of Being A Doctor, And Despite His Family S Disappointment, He Followed His Dreams, Becoming A Well Known Pediatrician Working In The Emergency Room He S Faced The Worst That Society Can Do To Children Parson Lost His Best Friend To Suicide After Foster Care Failed Her He Vowed That He Would Be The Change The System Needed And Give Children The Chance That His Friend Never Had When A Severe Case Of Sexual Abuse Brings Parson And ô read ô Heal (Save the Kids #3) by E.

Leya ô Beau Together, They Find They Share A Passion To Make A Difference, Focusing On Helping To Show The Abused Children That Not Everyone In The World Is Out To Hurt Them That S Not The Only Passion They Share, The Time They Spend Together, The Stronger Their Relationship Becomes The Chemistry Between Them Is Undeniable, And For Once, They Ve Found Someone Who Isn T Only Out To Take What They Have To Give But Like Any New Relationship, There Are Secrets Between Them, Ones So Big That It Could Break Them Apart Before It Really Gets Started It S Only The Determination To Save The Kids That Pushes Them Forward, Making Them Both See, That Despite Their Pasts, The Future Can Be Brighter, And Together They Have Twice As Much To Offer Than They Do Alone õ Heal (Save the Kids #3) ò PLEASE read FIRST MY RATING SYSTEM To my ratings thanks toI had to change it again and upgrade it a little bit 5 very very good and rare it would be a Blow Away book like Liberty from Seth King, Save the at he kids series from EM Leya or Jesse s Smile from Angelique Jurd , it s like an A 4 very good and will be often reread and is a WOW book with interesting plot and surprises like most of Andrew Grey books it s like an A3,5 a really good book, which will be reread a few times a year most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals I can recommend them definitively It s like an B 3 it could bethen a one time reader, maybe 2 3 times a year It s like a B2 it was ok to read, but it sa one time reader i wouldn t recommend it heartily, but it was ok It s like a C , D1 sorry, but that isn t really a book for me too After book 1, this has become one of my favorites Now, it s the mysterious good doctor Beau s story This story is a little unusual than a couple romance It isabout family and not just blood family but family you make This story also pulls away from the actual stings and into the lives the children The emotional and physical trauma most definitely wears you down, but in this story, to see how the children heal is beautiful as it also creates a family with Beau and Parson Parson who works with CPS, is the real deal in that he wants the best for all children Who better to be paired up with the Emergency Room Pediatrician These two have a deeper understanding about each other that no one else who they have dated in the past have understood You will have to read to find out, The kids stole the show You know that feeling when your take a deep deep inhale to ward off the feels that will lead to tears Well it doesn t really work with this book This series will absolutely tear your soul into pieces It will make you want to take revenge and justice into your own hands The only reason I m giving this 4 stars is because I almost felt like the relationship between beau and parson was a bit forced and somewhat lacking but that might just be because I wasinvested in another relationship developing The relationship between beau and the kids was natural and flowed so beautifully that it was THE REAL HEA in this book It was what my heart was pulling for since their first interaction.
